Aberdeen Mills is located in the quaint town of Elizabethtown. The original houses were built in 1770 out of solid sandstone making the walls about 18" thick! The grist mill, a prominent building in the front of the property, was built in 1774 and we offer free tours of the mill to our guests.

Getting here

Getting to Aberdeen Mills is easy from any major city. Harrisburg International Airport is only 15 minutes away and the train station in downtown is 10 minutes from us. Although we are close to so many conveniences, we still have the private, country feel our guests will appreciate.

Our trip was amazing and the best part was staying here! The accommodations were clean, comfortable and felt like a home away from home. Ros made sure we had everything we needed and was so helpful with recommendations for around the area. She gave us a tour of the grounds/farm and let us play with their adorable cats and goats. Her family was so kind and wonderful. My kids favorite part of their trip was spending time on the farm -- we really didn't need to go anywhere else (but you can - there are tons to do in the area!). I'd recommend this stay to everyone -- it is family friendly but could also be a great getaway for couples or groups. This place is a hidden gem and we truly hope to be back in the future! Check it out if you have not already done so!!

We had a pleasant stay at Aberdeen Mills. The cottage is historic with modern conveniences and comfortably fit 5 of us. Our son loved playing with the many cats on the property, feeding the goats and chickens, exploring the creek, and the toy bin. Rosalind and Adam were amazing hosts who provided tours, recommendations, snacks, coffee, firewood, yogamat, etc. Communication was the best I've experienced on Airbnb. Location was perfect for our purposes. We visited Hersheypark, Lancaster, Indian Echo Caverns, and the Appalachian Trail.

Fantastic - exactly as described, if not better, as the place has a great "feel" to it. The location is a perfect spot to spend time just hanging out, while Hershey and Elizabethtown are a quick drive away. Highly recommended! Check it out if you have not already done so!!

Aberdeen Mills is a beautiful and charming place. Quiet country setting. Stand still and listen to the Conewago Creek roll by. Friendly folks all around make you feel right at home. Highly recommended!!!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Miller’s Cottage, which was one of our best Airbnb visits. Check in was simple with clear instructions and a keypad lock on the door. Our host, Rosalind, was responsive and welcoming, even introducing us to the chickens and baby goats. We appreciated her family’s hospitality and loved hearing about the two-and-a-half centuries of history at Aberdeen Mills. We explored the creek, hiked the nearby recreation trail, visited the mill, and had a delightful time relaxing with the cats on the front porch overlooking the pasture. The home had everything we needed and more, including snacks and guides to the surrounding area. It was also family friendly for our toddler, who played on the gated-in porch and enjoyed the toys and books in the house. Everything was clean and well stocked with essentials, and the wi-fi offered blazing fast internet. We highly recommend this farm stay.

We loved everything about our stay. My kids loved racing out to the porch every morning to see what kitties were around to great us. We loved walking the property and listening to the serene farm life. It is a short drive to Hershey and the polar opposite of that chaotic energy. It was the perfect fit for my husband and I and 3 kids for the two nights we were there. We look forward to coming to stay in again in a few years to see how the property evolves.
